I ate a burger, cycled round the edge of Williamsburg with a focus on sitting in a park and reading.<\/p>\n<p>\nThat&#8217;s my shadow.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lukeburrage.com\/travelpodcast\/20100924\/20100924-5.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"That's my shadow.\"><\/p>\n<p>\nI found a pair of shoes on a pavement. I mean on a sidewalk.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lukeburrage.com\/travelpodcast\/20100924\/20100924-6.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"I found a pair of shoes on a pavement. I mean on a sidewalk.\"><\/p>\n<p>\nMy trusty bike. I bought it for 155 dollars on the second day in New York, and sold it for 100 dollars on the day I left. 26 days of transport for 55 dollars? A bargain!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lukeburrage.com\/travelpodcast\/20100924\/20100924-4.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"My trusty bike. I bought it for 155 dollars on the second day in New York, and sold it for 100 dollars on the day I left. 26 days of transport for 55 dollars? We must have recorded about 2 and a half hours of material. I&#8217;m glad I&#8217;m not editing that!<\/p>\n<p>\nBike route for the day.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lukeburrage.com\/travelpodcast\/20100924\/20100924-1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Bike route for the day.\"><\/p>\n<p>\n<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday I cycled down to Coney Island. This is a really tacky but quite fun seaside resort. It&#8217;s only open until the end of September, so I visited right at the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe boardwalk.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lukeburrage.com\/travelpodcast\/20100925\/20100925-1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"The boardwalk.\"><\/p>\n<p>\nThe view from inside Denno&#8217;s Wheel. I would have liked to ride the Cyclone, the legendary wooden roller coaster, but it was running.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lukeburrage.com\/travelpodcast\/20100925\/20100925-2.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"The view from inside Denno's Wheel. I would have liked to ride the Cyclone, the legendary wooden roller coaster, but it was running.\"><\/p>\n<p>\nAs recommended by many, many people, I ate a Nathan&#8217;s hot dog. It was very tasty, and I understand the queues. From the funnels, I recognized two as Carnival ships. This one is a Grand class Princess cruise ship. I think the Grand is currently sailing across from Europe, so this might be the Ruby Princess.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lukeburrage.com\/travelpodcast\/20100925\/20100925-7.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"I watched the cruise ships sail out to sea.
