After a good night's sleep I woke and popped my head around my host's door to say goodbye, and was amused to see a women in his bed who I recognised from the meal the night before, but I was sure hadn't come home with us. I quickly packed my bags and caught a taxi out to the airport. While waiting for my plane out of the country I spent the last of my Sheckles on an apple pasty type thing which was probably the first pleasant tasting food I'd had in the whole time I'd spent in Israel.
Getting out the county was a lot easier than getting in.
I was at work and people were standing around in an office wacthing tv. I asked what they were watching and they said "The Funeral." "Who died?" I asked, in all innocence. They all looked at my strangely. It was very shortly afterwards that I found out the the Queen Mother had died a week and a half beforehand. I totally missed the event, being out of the country at the time. Oh well.
