3,525 people attended the convention, making it the biggest gathering of jugglers in the world, ever. Here are a few of those jugglers:
Rick, an American juggler, doing a trident plate spinning juggling combo... the great thing about still images is that you don't have to wait through all the times he tried to get this trick and failed but you can still appreciate the end effect.
Some guy from somewhere who was pretty fantastic at everything I saw him try... and boy, didn't he know he was that good. Not one to draw attention to himself, here he is having a go at 4 diabolos. He managed it too but I didn't catch it on camera.
Here is the same guy bounce juggling 9 balls quite effortlessly. How sickening. He is using a marble slab brought along to the convention by a set of identical twins from Germany. They could force bounce 10 balls between them. It looked like some guy bouncing balls off a mirror.
Ok, now you are just taking the piss.
Toby Walker, what are you doing holding 7 clubs in your hands while bouncing a ball on your head?
Oh, sorry I asked.
Valentino, from either Germany or Bosnia, didn't want to be Anthony Gatto at all. No sir, not one bit.
Some guy flashing 6 fatheads. Unfortunatly, due to the high number of fantastic jugglers all trying 7 clubs, 10 rings, loads of balls, mad passing patterns, etc, nobody took much notice. Oh well, maybe I'll get an audience next year.
Fergie and I holding a boomerang rubberband trick workshop. We actaully flicked rubber bands more than we juggled together. Hmmm.
If you want a more indepth report of the best jugglers at the convention, I'm not going to give it. Somebody else already has. Check out this page.
Did I mention that Ben Beever and I managed to tie the world passing record with 17 balls thrown (not bounced) between us? Maybe if we tried a bit more we could have got what we were wanting; 20 balls. Maybe some other time.
I want to see the mad antics on the renegade stage..
