I make fun of Corsica’s lack of notability in the Take Me To Zanzibar video, along with Austria, Poland and Albania. The line goes “Corsica, Napoleon, Austria, Hitler, Poland, the last pope, Albania, no idea.”
This just goes to highlight my total ignorance of Corsica outside of Napoleon spending time there in exile, and what I read in an Asterix comic book.
But I visited Calvi in October of 2010. I didn’t learn anything new, except that it’s quite beautiful. The tourist season was already over, and most of the town was shut down, but I had a pleasant walk. I got quite a few videos of me juggling, but not many photos.
