Bonus Audio: Atomic Trivia War 9000

I was a guest again on the trivia panel show Atomic Trivia War 9000. You know what? I surprised myself by how good I am at trivia, even successfully challenging Jason about an incorrect question. Until they turned to comics, cartoons and superheroes. Check it out.

Rough Cut 2004

In 2003 and 2004 I was producing a DVD featuring myself juggling in different styles. I never finished the DVD. Here is a rough cut of a 3 club section. It features a whole host of improbable tricks and even more improbable catches!

It was shot over two days, with Ewan Crichton and Nathan Rae on camera. One idea was to make it look more “action sport” than any previous juggling video, with the camera always moving.

Many tricks I did spontaneously for the camera and I’ve never tried them again. Other tricks were more planned, and some I still practice to this day!

Ah… memories.

Here’s a completely different video I made for the same project:

I have some more segments from the DVD project too. Maybe I’ll dig them out of my old PC and share them one day!

Diving in Acapulco, Mexico

A composite image of the highest dive of the show. It’s not perfect, but good enough!

Great Circle.

I really like this “fact”:

THE PREHISTORIC ALIGNMENT OF WORLD WONDERS

“Easter Island, Nazca, Ollantaytambo, Paratoari, Tassili n’Ajjer and Giza are all aligned on a single great circle. Additional ancient sites that are located within one tenth of one degree of this great circle include Petra; Perseopolis; Khajuraho; Pyay, Sukothai and Anatom Island.

Near Ollantaytambo, Machupicchu and Cuzco are within one quarter of a degree. The Oracle at Siwa in the western Egyptian desert is within one quarter of a degree. In the Indus Valley, Mohenjo Daro and Ganweriwala are within one quarter of a degree. The ancient Sumerian city of Ur and Angkor temples in Cambodia and Thailand are within one degree of the great circle. The Angkor temple at Preah Vihear is within one quarter of a degree.”

Cool!

And then he goes on to use this cherry-picked data to try to locate Atlantis. Fail!

Read all about it here.

Random photos from Barbados

Splashing down at the Boat Yard.

I tested out some new software and made a fun collage. These are some photos of people hitting the water after launching themselves from a swing at the Boat Yard, a beach bar in Barbados. None of the photos are strong enough in their own right to post, but collected together like this, I think they are worth sharing.
